• where you’ll live and who with
• tuition and other bills you need to pay
• reviewing/accepting your school’s financial aid offer (and other funding you might have)
• registering for the right classes
• setting up work study or other employment

And if it’s your first term at a new school, these are some especially common checklist tasks:

• send in medical records and final transcripts from your old school
• take placement exams and/or ensure your college has any scores they need
• sign up for and participate in orientation
• waive or enroll in health insurance
