1
about me

I’m from a small town in southern Ohio and attended The Ohio State University, where I studied psychology, graduating in 2024. I then moved to Chicago, where I completed two years of AmeriCorps service with College Possible, helping high school students navigate the college application process. In college, I played clarinet in the athletic band, was a member of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, and served as a first-year experience peer leader, mentoring students throughout their first year.

Outside of academics and work, I enjoy music (I still play clarinet in a community symphonic band), spending time with friends, trying new restaurants, playing trivia, going to the gym, and hanging out with my two cats.

2
why I’m a coach

I wanted to become a coach with Beyond 12 because college is a huge transition for everyone, and for me, it was definitely a struggle. Tutoring, academic coaching, office hours, and specific clubs helped me find people with similar interests and values, some of whom are now my best friends. That experience made me want to become a peer leader, and it’s what led me to coach with Beyond 12.

3
my advice for you

My biggest advice: remember that you deserve to be there. You were selected for a reason, and you have the potential to succeed and thrive. That doesn’t come easily, but that’s why campus resources exist. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, whether it’s tutoring, office hours, or whatever the situation calls for. If you’re not sure where to start, that’s what Beyond 12 is here for.
